    Borrowing at the NPTU Library
    Bring the library books you wish to borrow along with your Library card to the Circulation Desk. You may also borrow the CDs、DVDs and some Popular magazines (Except the current issues).

    Borrowing from other libraries
    From the Mutual Lending Agreement signed between NPTU and other university libraries, NPTU faculty, staff and students are permitted to borrow library materials from other libraries. Visit the circulation desk to apply for a library exchange card and present the card when borrowing materials from other partner libraries. Borrowers are subject to the regulations of the lending library and are expected to return the materials to the same location they are borrowed from. Each library may have different lending periods and materials such as periodicals, videos, and course reserve books may not be available for checkout. Some library services may also require fees.
     
    Interlibrary loans (ILL) Submit your ILL requests online
    Through the ILL program, NPTU faculty, staff and students can obtain materials that are not held in our library. Materials that can be obtained through ILL include books, periodical articles, microforms, and certain theses. If we are unable to locate your requested material, you will be notified through e-mail (make sure that the library has your current e-mail address). Please do not submit ILL requests for items that are available in our library! If you wish to borrow an item in our library that has been checked out, please inform the circulation desk librarian which item you would like to borrow. You will be contacted by e-mail when the item has been returned to the library and is ready to be picked up at the circulation desk. Please contact the reference librarian (Ext. 15402, 15400-15401) if you have any questions.
     
    Study / Discussion Rooms and Digital Multimedia Area
    The study/discussion rooms and digital multimedia area are limited to NPTU faculty, staff and students. The study rooms are for individual use while the discussion rooms are designed for three or more people. Rooms must be reserved within ten days before the date you wish to use them. A library card is required in order to check out the room key at the circulation desk. The key must be returned to the circulation desk by the due time. A NT$10.00 per hour fine will be levied for late key returns. A library card is required to check out a seat card (obtainable at the circulation desk) for the Digital Multimedia Area. The seat card must be returned within 3 hours after check out. A NT$10.00 per hour fine will be levied for late returns.
     
    Photocopy and Print
    Photocopy rooms are located on each floor of the Library. Photocopy cards in the amount of NT$100 can be purchased from the vending machine opposite the circulation desk. One network and several regular printing machines are located in the Digital Multimedia Area.
